The Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) is a professional certification for business analysis practitioner with 2 to 3 years’ experience, earning your Certification of Capability in Business Analysis™ (CCBA®), recognizes your ability to take on larger and or more complex project responsibility.​

LIVE Online Instructor Led Training

In this format, you will have our coach teaching you all BABOK concepts LIVE online. You will work hand in hand with the coach to solve quizzes, clarify doubts and prepare yourself for the exam. Batches are conducted every month on predefined intervals. Check our Upcoming Batches here.

Self Paced Recorded Training

This program format has pre-recorded videos explaining BABOK chapters in detail. You can finish the videos at your own pace along with your work schedule.  You will have 3 months access to these videos.  The videos have activities based on BABOK concepts which makes learning simple and fun- filled.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - FAQ

Certification of Capability in Business Analysis™ (CCBA) is the level 2 certification for business analysts from IIBA. It’s a measure of your competency in the performing business analysis activities.

The eligibility criteria for CCBA Certification are as follows:

    • • Minimum 3750 hours of BA work experience (Approximately 3 yrs) aligned with the BABOK® Guide in the last 7 years
    • • Out of the total experience, you must have a minimum of 900 hours of experience in 2 of the 6 BABOK Guide version 3. Or,
    • • You can have a minimum of 500 hours of experience in 4 of the 6 BABOK Guide version 3.
    • • Please note that the experience shown above must be verifiable by your reporting manager as you are expected to provide details or your managers, under whom you acquired this experienc
    • Minimum 21 hours of Professional Development Training in the past four years
    • Two references from a career manager, client or CCBA® recipient
    •  Signed Code of Conduct.

You can take the CCBA Certification exam at Prometric test centres across the world. To know about it, please visit the Prometric IIBA exam page.

Yes, we would provide you a simulated test environment, where you can practice multiple times. You will also be able to see your score.

CCBA Certification fees has two parts. For non-members, the application fees is USD 125 and the exam fee is USD 450. If you are an IIBA member, the exam fees reduces to USD 325, however the application fee remains the same.

CCBA Certification exam is a multiple choice (MCQ) test and is going to be 3-hrs long. It will contain 130 multiple choice questions. The questions are scenario based and you need to analyse the scenarios to answer the questions correctly. There are no negative markings so you must attempt all the questions.

IIBA website has published CCBA Sample questions

CCBA and CBAP certifications differ on three criteria:

Eligibility criteria: CCBA requires at least 3750 hrs of experience (around 3 yrs) in business analysis activities, whereas CBAP requires 7500 hrs (5+ yrs). Additionally, CCBA requires 500 hrs of experience in 4 of the 6 knowledge areas, whereas CBAP requires 900 hrs of experience in 4 of the 6 knowledge areas

PDU requirements: The professional development unit (PDUs) requirement for CCBA certification is 21 hrs. The professional development unit (PDUs) requirement for CBAP certification is 35 hrs.

Exam focus: CBAP exam has 120 questions as compared to 130 questions for CCBA. However the exam duration is 3.5 hrs as compared to CCBA. The reason being the type of questions. The case study based questions will be more complex/elaborate in CBAP certification exam.
